What is the Let me in meme?
This is basically a reaction image or response of the American comedian, Eric Andre who screamed “Let me in.” This was on 29th July, 2019 when he uttered this outside the Democratic National Convention. It got famous when The Eric Andre Show Special, “Near the DNC” was aired on Adult Swim. This is just an adult nighttime programming network similar to the one that is run by cartoon network. This hilarious video was uploaded on YouTube and it received almost 2.9 million views and an abundance of 55,000 likes in the span of 3 years. Following this first time, the spread of the Let me in meme skyrocketed. This was on 3rd November, 2018 when Stevie A posted a short clip on YouTube. Over just three months this video received 366,000 views and 9600 likes! People thoroughly enjoyed this meme and commented on how they related to it.
The meme hit millions of views and finally a viral image was born due the efforts of Twitter and Reddit users. People wrote captions like “Me when I push a pull door,” that was originally written by A Killer Pacman.
Additionally, there was one by J-productions as well: “when the demon in your room at night tries to eat you but you are under the covers.” Similarly Twitter users also assisted in making this reaction GIF a success by sharing and retweeting it at all times. It was in support of Girl Scouts as it labeled Eric Andre as “my sister” and “my treehouse” where no girls were allowed. This post received 66,000 points because a majority of 99% people upvoted in only 2 days.
